Welcome! You may have noticed that this blog is full of links - marketing links, weblog links, all kinds.. While I'd like to go back and redo all of the CESL pages (listed below), I am retired, and no longer actively update it, so those are like a museum of a specific era when students used blogs to communicate with the English-speaking world. At one point I loved talking to the webheads, an international tech-ESL group, and didn't want to lose the stuff they were talking aboutn- even when I didn't really know the implications of all of it, so I just saved those links here as well. These days I use this site to muse about my frustrations with marketing my writing, and keeping up with the blog network. Now that I'm back in Illinois, it has more meaning to me, but "linkin'" to me is the symbol of the effect, what little there is, of effective online marketing. My collection of what I know about that is here as well. The picture below, by the way, is from a famous Democratic Convention in Chicago where Daley got the police out against the demonstrators, and somebody, in a famous gesture, linked hands in solidarity. I'm not clear on the details, but I did make a postcard out of it.
