blog report - Nov. 1
Bumbers were up just a little, but it might have been because I was working on the blogs a lot and opened up quite a few of the sites myself more than once. I never tell the computer not to count myself, just like i don't prevent my fitbit from giving me credit for driving bumpy mountain roads. I'll take a free handout, so to speak, but I'll keep it in mind, and say progress was slim if there was any at all.
The commercial ones need the most work, I think.
Yet I'm now in more of groove of using them properly and regularly; I got my twelve around the middle of the month; spent the last half upgrading the templates; still had plenty to say and posted on them a lot; and felt like they are a system out there of very interesting and productive content pointing gently at my press. not that it has ever generated any sales. Nonetheless it is me doing what I like, writing, and eventually people will see that.
This blog, incongruous as it is, needs some work. needs some squares, and the links may be needed elsewhere. Namely, i plan on making a blog museum, and using it to show off all the blogs i made and used over the course of twenty or thirty years of using them in teaching. It's amazing that so many of them are alive and intact. It could be that each one needs a new museum announcement with a link that alerts newcomers to the idea that these blogs are defunct, have been for years, yet are still interesting enough to keep, if only to see a snapshot in time.
All that is coming, I hope.
