Blog report Apr. 1
This is not a joke. 27 out of 28 of my personal blogs were up this month, and if you recall (below post) they were up last month too. It could be more of a statement on moribund-winter horrible january, but I do believe things are livelier, people are getting on the web for whatever reason, they're clicking on my blogs.
I've always figured I had good blog titles, that catch their eye, and they come visit. My blogs are weak in actually leading them to buy something of mine, as my sales are as dismal as ever. But they are clearly at least visiting the blogs. One of them, cloudcroft journal, seems to have gotten on the blogger carousel, and picked up 686 visits at a time when it generally averages 12 a month. In fact the 686 was more than double its total overall visits, it tripled itself this month. Why? Probably random visitors who use the blogger carousel. The only other possible explanation is that some other site, or media outlet, started pointing to it suddenly, for whatever reason.
They still need a lot of work. I have messages unmade, links unplaced, things like that. I need to tighten them up a bit. I don't actually need 28 personal blogs. I need to be more aggressive on the commercial ones, and link everything up. What happens is I focus on posting on twelve, and usually get it by around mid-month. But then I take a breather and never come back to do the appointed tasks that I'd put off 'til the end of the month. Just don't get to 'em.
And so, another month passes.
