Oct. 1 blogs

Blog rolling averages were down, though as I took in the month's visitors for each blog, I noticed that Sept. was generally better than August. Keep in mind that the rolling average (July/Aug/Sept averaged, compared to June/July/Aug averaged)is in one sense a comparison of September and June; it was August and July that were dismal, but they figure in both rolling averages.

In general it fits with the observation that blog traffic is seasonal and shopping-driven. That is, in August people are out, partying, swimming, vacationing, etc.; in September they're home at work and getting in touch with things they'll need for the upcoming cold season. So we can expect them to be up. And to increase more as it gets colder; we can only hope.

As I go through them I get in touch again with all my goals, and things to do. They should be bringing people to my books. They should be right there with whatever I've got in my whole system. They should represent me at my best.

I am using them more, and that's a good sign. I don't have to work to put something on twelve of them. Even right now I can think of things to put on three or four of them. It's good that I'm just using them for a variety of things, because whatever I do it's current, and google picks up on that - I'm using them. Google will bring people to me. Just because I squander the opportunity, that doesn't matter. There is an authenticity to saying just what you want in a place. I don't have to switch over to 100% commercial.

The commercial ones, however, are a little weak. Maybe I can do something about that.
