Nov. 1 blog report

Happy Saints' Day. It's what I call the High Holidays, the best days of the year, Saints' Day, Souls' Day, Sadie Hawkins Day, etc. Best weather out of the 365, so it's time to celebrate.

Of course it's also the first, so I do all the blogs, list them out, 28 personal, 8 commercial, about 7 dead ones I keep track of simply because I'm trying to figure out what to do with them. Of the 35 live ones, some are for all intents and purposes dead as well, and I should probably just get to it and cull the herd so to speak.

They are up slightly, with more showing improvement over last months' rolling average than sinking. People are moving indoors, spending more time at Google, that's my theory. Blog traffic starts with shopping. They may click on something out of idle curiosity (non-shopping motivation), but the reason they're on there is they're looking for something.

One live blog, esl corner, actually got zero hits last month. Shameful! Scanless! The ironic thing is, I plan or have planned to make something of this blog. The links that I had on it from years ago are pretty much obsolete. That's why I hesitate to just start over; it's like it's carrying false information. I'll have to make a commitment to overhauling the whole thing, if I want a live blog there. One option would be to simply start a new one (esl concerns, publicizing a novel about esl that is coming) and make this one into a kind of graying-out, obsolete pantry of outdated information. For the museum.

Speaking of which, the museum has gone nowhere. Too much going on, in life. Stay posted though, and the museum will surprise you. Ciao.
