Blog visits were up last month - I usually reach for the simplest explanation, which is that, in the cold weather, people are surfing the web a lot. I think they tend to open my blogs just because they have an interesting title - I have no evidence for that of course. I think they generally exit as fast as they entered, but I have no evidence for that either. Finally, I think putting my book ads on the templates would really help but I haven't done it.

I've been in a kind of malaise ever since I saw all the social media bigwigs lined up at the inauguration with their buddy - all in it together. And here I am guiding people to my amazon sites? I'd rather be out on the street peddling books in elevators or some such place although I know that leads to almost certain starvation. I haven't been back to Twitter. I somehow can't even stomach blue sky although I should be enjoying the company of fellow victims. Even Facebook I find a little repulsive as though putting my true opinions on it would just be leaving a path.

So a general lull in all marketing and also a failure to post on twelve blogs, but I should be able to correct that fairly quickly. After all these blogs are a much larger, more personal, footprint, and each one depending on its purpose does something for me or it wouldn't be there. Each one has a template which means there is opportunity out there. It's my strategy. Some are getting thousands of hits a month and that's what you need to get a hundred clicks which is what you need to get one sale. So let's get started.

So as the weather breaks will they crash like bitcoin? We can only wait and find out.
